Identity crisis...Say NO to labels

personal
identity

#1

Hey people, this is my first topic to post in here, and my first ever try to write a note or article to write.
well I have struggled a lot with my sexual identity since I was 6, sometimes I feel straight the others I feel homosexual and other times I go with bisexual, BUT you know what…Screw the labels the community is full of them… I love women and I love men why would I go with a label as long as I’m having fun?
I’m enjoying myself and that’s the most important thing
peace and love xx .

I agree - everything in every society has to be boxed up and labeled for other people to judge. If you’re happy with yourself and with the person you’re in love with, whether it’s a girl or a guy is the least of your worries and you should just focus on making the relationship work. That’s why the “LGBTQ” acronym is becoming longer and longer… but we should just call it “L” for love or “WYL” for whatever you love.

I believe everyone is entitled to label themselves however they’d like. I labelled myself Rana, cuz that’s how I roll. That said, if we take away all the labels, and not just those dealing with sexuality but those with race, religion etc., we’ll all just Be. We’ll exist as one.

sometimes we put the labels on ourselves so we dont feel “lost”

all the time we try to define who we are

#5

That’s really true. It’s how labels have been for me. I have had such difficulty belonging somewhere that finding out I was gay was like an oasis in the desert. There is reason to my madness! It’s true, though, our sexuality does play a big part in defining who we are because of where we live and how we have to survive here.

hmm, I’d say labels add complexity that’s all, I personally think that sexuality/love has no standards, what you love/like in a girl you can like in a guy.

so I’m totally with you  <3.
